Jeffrey Lewis Band to tour UK & Europe in September-October, coinciding with the release of Jeffrey's new album "12 Crass Songs"! The band on this tour will be Jeffrey & Jack Lewis, David Beauchamp, and Helen Schreiner. Scroll down to "Upcoming Shows" for full tourdate info as dates are confirmed!
The album "12 Crass Songs", featuring Jeffrey's creative interpretations of 12 songs by the anarchist punk band Crass, comes in a special die-cut cover sleeve designed by Jeffrey, with full-color fold-out comic book artwork, and will be in stores in the UK and Europe on October 1, 2007, on Rough Trade Records. This album will ONLY be available in stores and online, and not at the tour concerts, which will make album sales easier to track - half of all money Jeff makes from album sales of this CD will be donated to humanitarian charities and causes (ones which Crass would hopefully approve of).
The music video for the song "Williamsburg Will Oldham Horror" is finished and viewable on Youtube here! Thanks to filmmaker Mark Locke for doing a great job with this! This video is currently in nightly rotation on MTV2 in the UK.
